The distillery is named after the kookaburra (genus Dacelo - pronounced Da-cel-o), one of Australia's most famous and most loved native birds.
Dacelo Distilling's owners Sammy and Siobhan live at Mount Coolum and their local kookaburras are inquisitive, social and jovial, with one heck of a cackle! Regular visits from these kookaburras at their home provide unique, warm and enjoyable encounters.
Dacelo Distilling was born to capture the essence of these encounters. We've bottled up the fun by producing quality native Australian spirits for all to enjoy.
